"Jesus rejoiced in spirit"

There’s a phrase in Luke chapter 10 that caught my eye last week. In verse 21 we find that Jesus rejoiced in spirit. Read the verse with me:

Lu 10:21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

I have taught lessons and written blogs already on the fact that Jesus hides information from the masses during his earthy ministry. Here we find out two of the groups he hides information from are the “wise and prudent”. Saints that do not rightly divide the scriptures should be alarmed at this notion and I would hope that they would try to find out why. I dare say you won’t be hearing preaching from this verse very often but I digress. You would find some religions shifting their focus to Mary because of some of the things Jesus says and does. They can make Mary anything they want because scripture itself has little to say about her. Getting back to the point, Jesus is rejoicing the fact the “thou hast hid these things”. Jesus is rejoicing in spirit because God the Father had hid this information from the wise and prudent. So, you see you can’t just blame Jesus for this, the blame rests on the Lord himself. Jesus is rejoicing in the fact that God the Father’s plan is moving forward. God the Father’s purpose in Jesus coming to the earth is moving forward. Churches today mostly rejoice that their plans are moving forward. Building programs are moving forward, the latest new ministry in moving forward, the music program, children’s programs, music programs are moving forward. I’m not trying to be too critical here. But do you understand God himself is moving some things forward? Do you also understand the Satan himself is also moving some things forward? Read along with me.

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

I hope you see here that Satan himself is moving the course of this world forward as we speak. It is my opinion that when some people believe they see prophecy being fulfilled today in the mystery age, what they are actually seeing is just the course of this world moving forward. Do you understand Satan is still trying to foil God’s plans? It started in Eden and has not stopped since. You hear me harp on the fact that Christians pay little attention to God’s purpose for Heaven and Earth. Most don’t even understand the difference. Jesus seen God’s purpose and he rejoiced when he seen it. This is a rejoicing that the vast majority in Christianity does not even understand. God’s purposes are moving forward. The proof is Satan as a master copycat has created his own purpose and is moving his course forward also. Those that understood what Jesus was doing at that time was a very small group of “babes”. Today those that understand what the Lord is actually doing is a very small group also. I understand my church will never be large. Yes, it saddens me at times and yes it frustrates me at times, but YES, I rejoice in it at times. I am playing my part in teaching the Bible how my Apostle Paul and thus Jesus instructed me to in this age. In this I can rejoice in spirit that I AM moving God the Father’s plan forward and HE IS PLEASED IN ME. I hope you are taking part in God’s plan also.  God is building a body in this age with a Heavenly purpose and I hope you are taking part!
